Dear Friends,

We again welcome and thank Fr Bill Dobson who will be saying Mass for us this week.

Next Sunday is Day of Life and there will be a collection for Life Charities

There will be a meeting of the S.V.P. on Wednesday, 24th July, at 7.15 pm in the Presbytery. New members welcome. 

Ben Grist, one of our students at Oscott College in Birmingham is very ill. Please pray for him.

MY MANY THANKS to all who have cleaned the Church for so many years and have decided the time has come to hand on the work to others. I am pleased to say a number of people have come forward to start cleaning in the near future. My thanks to the new cleaners who will be contacted by Christine Nowak.

The “Singles” group will meet this Thursday, 26th July, at “The Oak Inn” on Oak Street (12.30 for 1.00 pm). Parking available at Tesco’s car park. Please let Janet know, tomorrow at the latest if you intend to be there, as numbers have to be given in then.

Marion Edwards says a big thank-you for the support given her recently. The raffle raised £25 for Kikambala Children’s Home. First prize - Carol Bannister, 2nd prize – Janet Power. The garage and house contents combined raised £225. Cheques sent to MND Assc. £150 and £75 to Let the Children Live. Items unsold have been taken to various local charities.

Weekly Collection: Loose £186.83, Gift Aid £208.50, Total £395.33. Our weekly need is about £500. 1/3 of our money goes to the Diocese. Please plan your giving before Mass and be as generous as you can. If you pay tax please covenant, as we receive another 25p in the £1.
