Dear Friends,

Today is Racial Justice Sunday and we are asked to pray and work to promote racial justice. There will be a second collection for this work.

Next Sunday is Home Mission Sunday when the Catholic community in England and Wales is invited to pray for, celebrate and support the work of evangelisation in England and Wales.

Dowry of Mary Pilgrimage at Walsingham Shrine today, 9th September, from 11.30 a.m. Mass at 12 noon and Procession to the Priory Grounds for Benediction at 3.15 p.m. See Notice Board for further details.

THIS SATURDAY THE CATHOLIC WOMEN’S LEAGUE are holding a COFFEE MORNING AT THE HOME OF Janice McLaren, 8 Holt Road, Fakenham [next door to the Pet Shop] from 10 am to 12 noon. Raffle and Bring and Buy. Proceeds to “Let the Children Live” and C.W.L. CHARITIES. Please come and support us.

THIS SATURDAY, 15th September, the Diocesan Justice and Peace Commission invites you to a day on “WATER” at the Cathedral, from 10.45 to 3.30. Further details on the Notice Board.

ECUMENICAL HARVEST SUPPER at the Salvation Army on Monday 24th September at 6pm for 6.30 pm. Please sign on list in church today. You do not need to bring food but to pay £1.50 each. Some of you will be contacted to bring a dessert.

THE YEAR OF FAITH A Mass is to be celebrated at 12 noon in the Cathedral on Thursday, 11th October, to mark the 50th Anniversary of the opening of “The Second Vatican Council” .

RED BOXES Please bring your boxes into church for the annual count during September. Any new people in the Parish who would like to help the Missions by keeping a collection box at home please contact Sandra Drinkwater on 01328 700409.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION. Any Parents whose Children will be 8 years old next year and would like them to be prepared for First Holy Communion, please see Fr Tony.

Weekly Collection: Loose £153.05. Gift Aid £265.50. Total £418.55 . Our weekly need is about £500. 1/3 of our money goes to the Diocese. Please plan your giving before Mass and be as generous as you can. If you pay tax please covenant, as we receive another 25p in the £1.
