Dear Friends,

Friday is HARVEST FAST DAY and next Sunday there will be a collection for CAFOD. Envelopes are available in Church and contributions can be Gift Aided.

St. Anthony’s will be having a stall at the CHARITY TABLE TOP SALE in the Parish Church on 10th November in aid of KIKAMBALA. We ask for new items that would make gifts for Christmas etc. but no clothing please. Please leave contributions at the back of Church

THE YEAR OF FAITH A Mass will be celebrated at 12 noon in the Cathedral on Thursday, 11th October, to mark the 50th Anniversary of the opening of “The Second Vatican Council” and the start of the ”Year of Faith.” If you wish to come on the Coach please sign on the list in Church. THE COACH WILL LEAVE FROM ST ANTHONY’S CHURCH AT 10.30 AM.

On 8th October a new Catholic radio station will be launched via the internet. – www.hguh.co.uk. Aid to the Church in Need will broadcast every evening from 21st – 28th October at 7.30 pm. See notice board.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION CLASSES ARE ON THURSDAY AT 5.30-6.30 pm IN THE PRESBYTERY. PLEASE BRING YOUR CHILDREN ON TIME AND STAY FOR THE HOUR WITH THEM , TO HELP WITH HOMEWORK. NO CLASS THIS WEEK, NEXT CLASS IS ON THURSDAY 11TH OCTOBER.

Weekly Collection: Loose £156.72. Gift Aid £232.80. Total £389.52. Peter’s Pence £105.35. Our weekly need is about £500. 1/3 of our money goes to the Diocese. Please plan your giving before Mass and be as generous as you can. If you pay tax please covenant, as we receive another 25p in the £1.
