Dear Friends,

Today is Peace Sunday when we are asked to pray particularly for peace in the World. There will be a Second Collection for Pax Christi, an international Catholic movement for peace, which offers support and encouragement to work for justice and peace.

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO THE WEATHER…THE OCTAVE OF PRAYER FOR CHRISTIAN UNITY started on Friday, 18th January until 25th January. To celebrate this week, Churches Together are holding a Songs of Praise with the Fakenham Town Band and the Parish Church Choir TODAY, 20th January at 6.30 pm at Fakenham Parish Church.

WE NEED HELP with counting the collection and arranging the flowers in Church. If you can help please contact Fr Tony. We also need a new Organist, can you help please?

YEAR OF FAITH BOOKLET “DOORWAY TO FAITH” PART TWO is on sale, price £1 each You will remember this is a Journey through the Catechism for the Year of Faith mainly for those who have been using the first three months’ booklet.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION CLASSES ARE ON THURSDAY AT 5.30-6.30 pm IN THE PRESBYTERY. PLEASE BRING YOUR CHILDREN ON TIME AND STAY FOR THE HOUR WITH THEM, TO HELP WITH THE HOMEWORK. THE NEXT CLASS IS THIS THURSDAY, 24TH JANUARY

There is EXPOSITION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT for the Year of Faith everyday between 1 and 2 pm at the Shrine during January and February.

On Thursday, 31st January there will be a lecture on ’Compassion: nice idea or urgent global imperative?’ given by Karen Armstrong, scholar, religious commentator and founder of The Charter for Compassion.
