Today is The World Day of Prayer for Vocations, Good Shepherd Sunday,   and the Church  invites us to pray specifically for vocations to the priesthood and the consecrated life.

There will be a collection for the PRIESTS’ TRAINING FUND

 

PARISH EASTER LUNCH at The Oak is on May 3rd. 12.30 for 1 pm. Menu is Soup or Prawn Cocktail—Turkey or Vegetarian---Treacle Tart or Fruit and Ice Cream. Just sign on list in Church. You can pick menu and pay on the day.

 

Please also continue to pray for a New Bishop for Our Diocese.

 

Diocesan Celebration of Marriage and Family Life on Saturday, 23rd June, at St John’s Cathedral, Norwich.  Mass with renewal of Marriage Commitment at 11.00, followed by a buffet lunch in the Narthex.  Certificates will be presented to those couples celebrating 1st, 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th, 30th, 35th, 40th, 45th, 50th, 55th, 60th anniversaries and above.

 

The East Anglia Diocesan Pilgrimage to Walsingham takes place on Bank Holiday Monday, 7th May, starting at 10.00 am, finishing with Mass at 3 pm.  Full details on the Notice Board.   It will be led this year by Fr. David Bagstaff.

 

AUGUST SUMMER CAMP for 8-14 year olds: see poster, and information available from Fr Tony.

 

World Youth Day Rio 2013 - Are you coming? The Diocese is taking a group (size limited) of over-18 year olds. Participants must apply by 1st May 2012. Please see www.catholiceastanglia.org/youth for more information.

Weekly Collection:  Loose £160.76,  Gift Aid £251.00 Total £411.76.  Our weekly need is about £500.  1/3 of our money goes to the Diocese.  Please plan your giving before Mass and be as generous as you can.  If you pay tax please covenant, as we receive another 28p in the £1.  For more details contact Covenant Officer John Morling on 01328 700575.
