May is the Month of Mary, when we give special devotion to Our Blessed Lady.

THIS MONDAY, 7th May, The East Anglia Diocesan Pilgrimage to Walsingham takes place. Exposition in the Church of the Annunciation 10.00 – 12.15, Pilgrimage Procession from Friday Market 12.30. finishing with Mass at 3 pm. Full details on the Notice Board. It will be led this year by Fr. David Bagstaff.

THE CATHOLIC WOMEN’S LEAGUE Coffee Morning raised £142. Thank you for your support. C.W.L. meeting on 16th May in the Presbytery at 7 pm. Carol Williams from “AGE UK” will talk about their work. All welcome.

Please also continue to pray for a New Bishop for Our Diocese.

MASS FOR CONFIRMATION This will take place on Friday 25th May at 7.00 pm. with Fr David Bagstaff.

DIocesan Celebration of Marriage and Family Life on Saturday, 23rd June, at St John’s Cathedral, Norwich. Mass with renewal of Marriage Commitment at 11.00, followed by a buffet lunch in The Narthex. All couples and families are invited. Certificates will be presented to those couples celebrating 1st, 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th, 30th, 35th, 40th, 45th, 50th, 55th, 60th anniversaries this year (and above), and to families where there is a baby under 1 year. Please inform us by 8th June if you wish to attend, especially if you will be receiving a certificate. All welcome. No charge, but donations invited on the day. CATHOLIC CLOTHING GUILD I am pleased to report that I took to the Guild A.G.M. in Newmarket 354 Garments and Knee Blankets, for various charities, with donations and subscriptions of £84.60. Thank you for all your support. Michael Howling from the S.V.P. told the A.G.M how in 50 years the help offered had changed, but that emphasis had always been on supporting families. That the one thing the S.V.P. could give, that professional agencies could not, was time. He thanked the Guild for their support over the years. Diane Stanley, Secretary.

Weekly Collection: Loose £158.00, Gift Aid £239.20, Total £397.20. Our weekly need is about £500. 1/3 of our money goes to the Diocese. Please plan your giving before Mass and be as generous as you can. If you pay tax please covenant, as we receive another 28p in the £1.
