1st Sunday of Lent

Dear Friends,

THIS WEDNESDAY LENT TALK in the Presbytery at 7 pm. Rev Andrew King on the “Catholic thinking” of John and Charles Wesley.

Friday is the LENTEN FAST DAY and next Sunday the second collection for CAFOD will be used to provide water to those without. All donations given this Lent will be doubled by the Government. Please be generous.

THIS FRIDAY is Women’s World Day of Prayer at 2.30 pm in the Methodist Church, prepared by Christian Women of Malaysia. All are welcome, both men and women. Please try to attend.

THIS FRIDAY Stations of the Cross in Church at 3 pm.

A Day of Renewal, with the theme “Renewal in the Spirit”, will be held at Bowthorpe Church Centre, Norwich NR5 9AA on Saturday, 10th March. It will be led by Fr Augustine Conner of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal.

CLOTHING GUILD MASS10 am on Friday, 30th March.

This year St Anthony’s are having a stall at the Anglican Parish Church charity sale on Saturday, 10th March to raise funds for Kikambala. Goods for sale would be gratefully received and can be left at the back of Church.

DIOCESAN YEAR BOOKS FOR 2012

Are on sale in Church at the reduced price of £3 each.

HOLY WEEK WEDNESDAY [APRIL 4TH] MASS OF THE BLESSING OF HOLY OILS AT THE CATHEDRAL. This year Cardinal Cormac Murphy O’Conner will be celebrating this Mass. It is very important that we know the numbers wishing to attend as soon as possible. A list is in the Church. If you wish to join the coach to the cathedral, names and telephone number please.

Weekly Collection: Loose £257.75. Gift Aid £287.85 Total £545.60. SPUC £204.25. Kikambala £60.70. Our weekly need is truly about £500. 1/3 of our money goes to the Diocese.
